Ryan Hawkins ran the length of the floor and hit a put-back layup with one second remaining to lift Northwest Missouri State men's basketball to a 74-72 road win over Lincoln Thursday night.

The Bearcats trailed the Blue Tigers with 16 seconds left.

Trevor Hudgins tied the game with a pair of free throws, then Northwest got a stop on the defensive end to earn one last chance to win it in regulation.

Hudgins missed a runner...but Hawkins sprinted down the floor, grabbed the rebound and laid it in to put the 'Cats in front...and put them over the top as their record improves to 11-and-1 on the year.

The Atlantic, Iowa native finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Hudgins finished with 20 points, and Wes Dreamer had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Both Bearcat basketball teams are in Warrensburg for a doubleheader Saturday. Tip off for the women is 1pm, and 3pm for the men. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 starts at 12:30pm.
